Investigators are trying to determine why the body of a northern Pulaski County man was found by the side of the road early Tuesday morning.
According to the Pulaski County Sheriff’s Department, the body was recovered off of East Ky. 452 , which runs between Ky. 39 and North U.S. 27. It was located near a small stream and culvert just off the side of the roadway, about 2.3 miles east of U.S. 27, but Hinkle Contractor workers doing road work there.
The body was identified as Ricky Meredith, 45, of 2340 Ky. 452, according to the sheriff’s department.
There was no identification present, said Godbey, but he was identified by his tattoo and from information garnered by 911 dispatch services.
He was found wearing blue jean shorts and no shirt.
Det. Brett Whitaker of the Pulaski County Sheriff’s Department said that Meredith was apparently headed westward.
Investigators believe that Meredith was struck by an eastbound vehicle, but do not have a suspect vehicle description at this point.
